Job Description
The Regional Process Specialist (RPS) performs multiple functions in support of the Regional Vice President, Operations and is an integral part of the regional Leadership team. This position supports Service Centers in improving all operations and administrative metrics, determines the root cause of operational and administrative deficiencies, and collaborates with the Service Center teams to formulate effective corrective action. The RPS is well versed in operations and administrative best practices and is frequently required to effectively coach and mentor Service Center teams including training new employees and coaching existing employees. This position is frequently involved with training and implementation of new operational and administrative initiatives and must be change champions for their designated region. The RPS enforces various compliance requirements as assigned by the Regional Vice President, Operations.

Responsibilities
- Travel to Service Centers to conduct periodic refresher training on an as-needed basis.
- Train newly hired employees on orientation and required job skill competencies.
- Coach and mentor existing Service Center employees as assigned.
- Assist the Regional Vice President in the development, analysis, and distribution of reports, spreadsheets, charts, and other operational or compliance data.
- Work on special assignments for process compliance and execution, as assigned.
- Support assigned regions and Service Centers with Leadership shift coverage, as needed when vacancies and/or vacations occur.
- Reinforce process, compliance, and procedures with field personnel as needed.
- Implement, educate, and follow through on the ABF Quality Process, policies, and procedures.
- Work in a team setting to accomplish regional goals.
- Coordinate work assignments and monitor performances.
- Provide training, performance feedback, and disciplinary recommendations, as needed.
- Foster safe handling, loading, unloading, and storage of hazardous materials.
- Champion company values, policies, and initiatives.
- Demonstrate advanced content development and classroom presentation skills.
- Collaborate with Leadership to identify training needs and develop appropriate training proposals.
- Provide guidance and support for Service Centers not meeting expectations.
- Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
- Experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Zero - 6 years supervisory/management experience in freight / dock operations, required
- Advanced proficiency with ABF operations systems.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced understanding of ABF's network operations strategy and best practices for managing pickup and delivery freight flow.

Other Details
- Work hours vary. Frequently required to work hours outside a normal 8-5 business day. Work schedule will include nights, weekends, and travel time as required.
- Frequent (75% or more)
- This is a salary position paid biweekly.
- Variable compensation is included.
