Job Description
The Student Worker, Human Resources duties include a variety of office procedures within the Human Resources Department. This position assists with scheduling pre-employment drug tests, communicating with internal and external customers, and maintaining records. This position also assists with projects as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with employment verifications and disability requests.
  • Update HR Info Systems to maintain all companies' confidential employee information.
  • Verify receipt of drug test results.
  • Open, sort, and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Schedule pre-employment drug test for new hires.
  • Scan and index documents to employee personnel files.
  • Resolve issues and perform root cause analysis to improve processes.
  • Conduct research for various projects and document.
  • Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
  • Provide clerical support to other areas of the department.
  • Inventory and order materials, supplies, and services.
  • Communicate efficiently with internal and external customers.
  • Maintain and update database systems and/or record keeping processes.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.
  • Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports.
  • Maintain confidential employee records.
  • Follow procedure for reviewing terminal files, request Exterro box location, update Workday, and prepare terminal files to be sent to the warehouse.
  • Process and prepare documents, such as business or government forms.
  • Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages.

Requirements
Education:
  • Pursuing Bachelor's Degree, required
Computer Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Other Details
Work Hours:
  • This is a part time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours generally fall between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
Travel Requirements:
  • Minimal (0%-25%)
Compensation:
  • This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
