This position is responsible for managing a variety of shipments and addressing customer concerns. This position requires superior customer service skills as well as the efficient utilization of resources including effective customer, service center, and field communication to make decisions that resolve urgent transportation-related scenarios.

Responsibilities
- Must understand when to work with a sense of urgency and possess the ability to work under pressure.
- Provide quotes, schedule shipments, and communicate shipment requirements to local service centers.
- Must be very detail-oriented and enjoy a fast-paced, multi-tasking work environment which focuses on providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Evaluate freight bill discrepancies and adjust charges as needed.
- Create peace of mind by becoming a trusted, creative problem solver who is easy to do business with.
- Assist internal and external customers by providing detailed information and creative solutions to various logistical concerns.
- Maintain a positive attitude in an intense environment.
- Create BOLs and provide shipment-specific documentation.
- Maintain communication to ensure freight delivers within the customer's expectations.
- Learn and adhere to internal work processes and standard operating procedures.
- Demonstrate mastery of multiple complex computer programs.
- Negotiate freight bill reductions for guaranteed time critical service failures.
- Initiate recovery for at-risk freight and communicate delivery changes as necessary.
- Resolve and manage complex transit problems.
- Coordinate and manage projects, provide customer reports and audits as required.
- Engage internal and external ArcBest customers through phone calls and multiple inboxes.
- Communicate shipment status to both internal and external customers.
- Provide accurate and timely information on the entire suite of logistics solutions offered by ArcBest.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
- Experience in the logistics industry, preferred
- Proficient understanding of PC and mainframe computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, preferred

Other Details
- Generally, shifts are staggered between 6:00 am - 7:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
- Minimal (0%-25%)
- This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
