Job Description
The Account Verification Coordinator is responsible for assigning correct account numbers for ABF Freight customers based on the suggested computer match, verifying correct routing and zip code applications, and for assigning applicable freight bill accessorial codes.
The Account Verification Coordinator is responsible for assigning correct account numbers for ABF Freight customers based on the suggested computer match, verifying correct routing and zip code applications, and for assigning applicable freight bill accessorial codes.
Responsibilities
- Research and verify the correct accessorial bill code and apply accordingly.
- Verify freight bill origin and destination routings.
- Research and verify customer information, including name, address, city, state and zip codes.
- Know and apply various Account Verification rules and customer exceptions listed in the departmental guide.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.
- Work in a team setting to accomplish departmental job requirements and goals.
- Assist the auditor and manager with responses to inquiries from various departments and external customers.
- Research and confirm the AV Bill Code Maintenance system, when time permits.
- Research and issue corrections to system customer information, adding/deleting alternate/master names, spelling errors, address errors, and division/sub errors, when time permits.
- Research zero coded customers to add new accounts, and locations in system history, when time permits.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
- less than 1 year of experience in ABF Coding processes, preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, preferred
- Knowledge of various department functions, and systems, preferred
- Coding and supporting systems, preferred

Other Details
Work Hours:
- Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
- This is a hourly position paid biweekly.
