Job Description
The Regional Tradeshow Specialist II grows and maintains profitable ABF Trade Show business by selling and marketing ABFs' services to an assigned list of customers and meeting company goals.

Responsibilities
  • Complete monthly sales audit reports and expense reports, as company guidelines require.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.
  • Maintain account information for territory in ABF databases.
  • Manage business relationships and entertain specified customers.
  • Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.
  • Assist in collection process and cargo claim prevention, as needed.
  • Develop sales strategies and make sales calls and presentations to assigned customers.
  • Communicate with customers, front-line management, and various ABF departments to establish service packages and resolve problems for clients.
  • Create service solutions for customers' unique business problems and initiate pricing.
  • Complete itinerary and call report as required by company guidelines and IRS regulations.
  • Negotiate service requirements and prices.

Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred
Experience:
  • 6 years transportation industry experience concerning business solutions, competitors, and decision makers.
Computer Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, preferred
Additional Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry, and ABFs policies, services, and computer systems and services capabilities.
  • Current and legal driver's license to operate an automobile.

Other Details
Work Hours:
  • Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
Compensation:
  • This is a salary position paid biweekly.
  • Variable compensation is included.
In accordance with the Illinois Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the starting pay for this position ranges between $68,000.00 to 85,000.00 annually but will be negotiated at the time of offer DOE.
