Job Description
The Robotics Implementation Engineer supports sales and customers by capturing technical requirements of the installation project and providing technical support throughout the implementation process. This role will provide rapid response to technical issues associated with the implantation of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). They will also serve as a technical resource throughout the implementation, which may include creating a site map for robotics operations, working with the customer to lay out path network, evaluating infrastructure to ensure proper support of robotic systems, and working with third parties to ensure the services provided to the customer meets the needs of the robotics system.
The Robotics Implementation Engineer supports sales and customers by capturing technical requirements of the installation project and providing technical support throughout the implementation process. This role will provide rapid response to technical issues associated with the implantation of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). They will also serve as a technical resource throughout the implementation, which may include creating a site map for robotics operations, working with the customer to lay out path network, evaluating infrastructure to ensure proper support of robotic systems, and working with third parties to ensure the services provided to the customer meets the needs of the robotics system.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with professional services team to develop plan for upfit of a customer site to support installation and implementation of a robotics system.
- Map installation site via LiDAR appliance.
- Perform network analysis and recommend the proper communication service; Wi-Fi, LTE/5G, Private LTE/5G.
- Research the customer business system and engage backend developers to support integration.
- Support customer by providing technical expertise during the installation and configuration of AMRs.
- Provide customer support by being the single point of contact during bring up of the system.
- Collaborate with development team to implement customer-specific requirements.
- Document installation in preparation to hand off support to long-term support team.
- Collaborate with development team to resolve potential issues/bugs affecting installation and provide feedback and lessons learned during implementation.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree engineering or related field, required
- 2 years sales engineering, field applications engineering, or similar role with industrial equipment, robotics or AGVs, preferred
- Experience with specification, installation and troubleshooting computer networks in an industrial setting, preferred
- Familiarity with Linux and experience with CBRS/Private LTE systems, preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Other Details
Work Hours:
- Generally, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
- This is a salary position paid biweekly.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel 50-75% for customer implementations.
