Job Description
The Supervisor, Compliance - Human Resources is responsible for leading the HR Compliance support team which handles the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) process, paid time off administration, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other leave processes. This position assists with developing, testing, and administering paid time off and leaves in the HCM system. This role requires leadership skills, excellent customer service, and extensive collaboration with other teams and employees at all levels.

Responsibilities
- Hire, train, develop, direct, coach, supervise, and lead the HR Compliance team.
- Provide support, including researching and resolving problems with leaves and PTO in the HCM system, to enhance or expedite processes in Workday and comply with changes in federal, state and local requirements.
- Collaborate with other teams across the enterprise to ensure compliance with all applicable policies by providing guidance and direction to leaders.
- Maintain and advance personal knowledge on relevant human resources topics.
- Oversee employment verifications, disability form, and other related processes including the third-party administrator.
- Develop and conduct training for managers and other leaders regarding government compliance and human resources policies.
- Present information on various topics to employees.
- Actively pursue process improvement and assist in change management efforts surrounding assigned projects and process implementation.
- Develop and recommend policies and procedures for improvement in achievement of EEO and affirmative action goals as well as other areas of compliance.
- Oversee personnel file document imaging process.
- Oversee the data gathering, review, and submission of various annual reports including EEO-1, 4212-VETS, 804 Vendor Letters, Union Employee Letters, California Pay Data Report, etc.
- Ensure company policies are in accordance with EEO principles.
- Analyzing data, draw conclusions and provide viable recommendations for ambiguous situations.
- Serve as an escalation point for issues.
- Supervise implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
- Supervise compliance with all federal contractor requirements.
- Oversee the development and administration of affirmative action programs.
- Research and evaluate local, state, and federal regulations in addition to company policies to ensure compliance.
- Oversee administration of compliance with posting of all mandated company, federal, state, and local required postings.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.
- Supervise the reasonable accommodation process and ensure the correct practices and procedures are followed in accordance with the ADA and Company policy. Collaborate with facilities and purchasing, leadership, in-house counsel, and the employee to determine the appropriate course of action, when needed.
- Establish and ensure compliance with HR's policies, procedures, practices, and programs to be consistently administered and aligned with company goals.
- Support team growth by identifying and addressing employee requirements regarding performance issues, training, and career growth.
- Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals.
- Oversee the administration of FMLA, military leave, state leave, parental leave, caregiver leave, and personal leave of absence processes.
- Oversee testing in Workday by the Human Resources team, including Workday's capabilities, and communicate as needed when functionality does/does not meet desired outcomes regarding leaves and PTO.
- Recommend and implement new or improved systems to enhance or expedite processes.
- Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
- 2 years experience in a human resources related field.
- Field human resources and/or operations experience in transportation, preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, required
- SPHR or PHR certification, preferred
- Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product, preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Extensive knowledge of the company structure, human resources practices and procedures, as well as policies and procedures across ArcBest and its subsidiaries, preferred

Other Details
Work Hours:
- Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
- This is a salary position paid biweekly.
