The Financial Engineer II primarily focuses on the company's strategic use of resources and the department mission: to expedite understanding that drives action. Responsibilities
- Champion our value-driven culture.
- Collaborate with ABF Fleet Services, Engineering, Linehaul and Service Center Operations to develop and improve decision models including: business projections, optimal mix, optimal fleet sizing, and equipment TCO models.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.
- Evaluate potential capital investments by projecting ROCEs.
- Obtain working knowledge of the company's forecasting solution to proficiently build and maintain operational scenarios and capital plans.
- Collaborate with ABF Fleet Services to identify inefficiencies, trends, and opportunities to minimize maintenance and repair cost.
- Develop and analyze investment strategies, timing and alternatives.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Math, Economics, or Accounting, required
- Master's Degree (MBA), preferred
- 2 years in a finance or engineering role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with a focus in Excel, required
- Proficient in SQL, preferred
- Familiarity in Power BI, forecasting software and Python, preferred

Other Details
Work Hours:
- Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
- This is a salary position paid biweekly.
