Job Description
The Manager, Strategic Capacity is responsible for leading and developing a team of Strategic Capacity Sourcing and Operations Representatives. This position ensures the growth and development of the employees along with the customers and carriers with dedicated freight into assigned regions. The Manager, Strategic Capacity is expected to collaborate with leaders across the company including Business Development, Account Management, Customer Operations, Yield, and Business Intelligence.

The Manager, Strategic Capacity is expected to collaborate with leaders across the company including Business Development, Account Management, Customer Operations, Yield, and Business Intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee growth of new routing guide onboards while maintaining success of existing routing guides in place to sustain team growth.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.
- Communicate cross departmentally to align MoLo carrier capacity with available MoLo committed freight.
- Develop relationships with MoLo strategic carrier partners.
- Develop market knowledge, understanding of MoLo freight network and unsolved lanes, sourcing efficiencies, negotiation, and uphold our commitment to service.
- Develop regional lane level sourcing and compliance strategies.
- Develop team though one-on-ones and continuous education, and ensure growth and workflow execution.
Requirements
Experience:
- 2 years carrier sales experience, preferred
- Carrier Sales Specialist level or above or 1 year logistics management experience, preferred
- Systems and process fluency: TMS navigation, Power BI reporting, Macropoint and geotracking, and data management.
- Ability to coach, develop, and lead others
- Ability to align growth initiatives with industry leading service levels
- Deep understanding of the freight market
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Possess strong sales skills, persuasive abilities, and negotiation tactics
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Other Details
Work Hours:
- Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
Location: In-office Chicago, Nashville, Fort Smith, Fayetteville (AR), or remote.
- $72,000 - $90,000 salary range (range is listed for Chicago, IL and may vary by location)
- This is a salary position paid biweekly.
- Variable compensation is included.
