Currently, we are looking for an Asset Technicianto join the ArcBest team. The Asset Technician ensures proper installation, function, and repairs of GPS tracking device units and decals on equipment that is either leased to and/or owned by ArcBest. This position is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining databases of that equipment

Your contribution may include:

• Install, repair, and have working knowledge of various types of GPS units to include Omnitracs, Samsara, and Skybitz.
• Update and maintain both online and internal service portals for all GPS units.
• Perform software installation as needed.
• Provide software training and basic troubleshooting assistance.
• Prepare, cut, and install decals on trailers and vans.
• Assist in temperature validation process for refrigerated trailer tests.
• Inform and update contractors of install processes.
• Distribute and document required equipment to contractors as needed.
• Document services performed.
• Download, create, and maintain various types of spreadsheets.
• Assist with inventory control process.
• Follow all company and manufacturers guidelines.
• Follow all Safeguard rules and regulations.
• Ensure working environment is clean, safe, and free of hazards at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

As the Asset Technician, you will be a member of the ArcBest Expedited Operations team. Your work hours will be 8:00AM - 5:00PM with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.

Education: Minimum, High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree in Applied Science in Electronics Technology, or Technical School certificate/degree, preferred.

Experience: Minimum, one-year experience operating power tools. Automotive/truck repair experience. Mechanical and wiring background, preferred. Basic knowledge of truck electrical systems and safety training, preferred. 

Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
