Job Description
The Student Worker, Procurement - Vaux provides administrative and clerical support to the Vaux Purchasing department. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented student interested in gaining hands-on experience in finance, accounting, or business operations. The Student Worker, Procurement assists with processing invoices, maintaining records, and supporting purchasing activities while developing professional workplace skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing invoices, purchase orders, and payment documentation.
  • Help review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
  • Enter invoice and vendor data into accounting or ERP systems.
  • Assist with matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents.
  • Support preparation of payment batches and check runs as assigned.
  • Assist with creating and tracking purchase orders.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding order confirmations or documentation.
  • Maintain purchasing records and update spreadsheets or databases.
  • Help receive and log delivered items.
  • Support inventory tracking and reconciliation activities.
  • Answer phones and route inquiries appropriately.
  • Perform data entry and basic spreadsheet maintenance.
  • Assist with special projects and audits as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and vendor information.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Requirements
Education:
  • Pursuing Bachelor's Degree, preferred
Experience:
  • Experience with data entry or office administration, preferred
  • Familiar with accounting or purchasing systems, preferred
Computer Skills:
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Other Details
Work Hours:
  • This is a part-time, casual position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours generally fall between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload. This is a year-round onsite student worker opportunity. This is not a summer only internship role. 
Travel Requirements:
  • Minimal (0%-25%)
Compensation:
  • This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
