Job Description
The Student Worker, Corporate Facilities is responsible for a variety of office procedures which varies by the department needs. This position offers some flexibility when working around the student's class schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, supplies, and equipment, verifying items against purchase orders or delivery documents when applicable.
  • Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing mail, materials, and shipments.
  • Maintain records, logs, and documentation related to mail, shipments, inventory, and supply operations.
  • Store, organize, and issue supplies and materials, ensuring proper labeling and inventory control.
  • Operate basic mailroom and office equipment, including postage meters, scanners, and shipping systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, safety, and security of mailroom, storage, and stockroom areas.
  • Provide customer service and support to employees regarding mail, shipments, package tracking, and supply requests.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, document handling, and reporting.
  • Assist with bulk mailings, departmental projects, and other Facilities-related initiatives.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Requirements
Education:
  • Currently pursuing a college degree.
Experience:
  • Prior experience in a mailroom, warehouse, or office support environment, preferred
Computer Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, preferred
Additional Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with shipping platforms (FedEx, UPS, USPS).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Other Details
Work Hours:
  • This is a part time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours generally fall between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
Travel Requirements:
  • Minimal (0%-25%)
Compensation:
  • This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
