The Quotations Coordinator - Bilingual Spanish/English manages a variety of shipments and addresses customer concerns. This position requires superior customer service skills as well as the efficient utilization of resources including effective customer, service center, and field communication to make decisions that resolve urgent transportation-related scenarios. This position is specific for shipments within the Mexican-American and offshore markets.
The Quotations Coordinator - Bilingual Spanish/English manages a variety of shipments and addresses customer concerns. This position requires superior customer service skills as well as the efficient utilization of resources including effective customer, service center, and field communication to make decisions that resolve urgent transportation-related scenarios. This position is specific for shipments within the Mexican-American and offshore markets.
Responsibilities
- Create peace of mind by becoming a trusted, creative problem solver who is easy to do business with.
- Provide quotes, schedule shipments, and communicate shipment requirements to local service centers.
- Communicate with brokers and freight forwarders regarding statuses on shipments.
- Learn and adhere to internal work processes and standard operating procedures.
- Assist internal and external customers by providing detailed information and creative solutions to various logistical concerns.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.
- Resolve and manage complex transit problems.
- Create BOLs and provide shipment-specific documentation.
- Maintain a positive attitude in an intense environment.
- Engage internal and external ArcBest customers through phone calls and multiple inboxes.
- Maintain communication to ensure freight delivers within the customer's expectations.
- Must be very detail-oriented and enjoy a fast-paced, multi-tasking work environment which focuses on providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Communicate shipment status to both internal and external customers.
- Must understand when to work with a sense of urgency and possess the ability to work under pressure.
- Understand and follow Import/Export procedures.
- Provide accurate and timely information on the entire suite of logistics solutions offered by ArcBest.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
- Experience in the logistics industry, preferred
- Proficient understanding of PC and mainframe computer applications, required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, required
- Must be fluent in Spanish, with the ability to speak, write, and translate in both English and Spanish, required
- The second language must be used by the employee at least 80% of the performance of job duties, required

- Generally, shifts are staggered between 6:00 am - 7:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
- Minimal (0%-25%)
- This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
