Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer II will work closely with the engineering design team and quality assurance to ensure seamless collaboration between design and manufacturing. The primary focus of this role will be on aligning engineering designs with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) best practices. This position we be involved in developing documentation for inspection, receiving, and other critical processes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead communication with third-party manufacturers to coordinate production schedules, resolve issues, and act as point of contact with the procurement team.
  • Inspect welded structures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share your expertise.
  • Assist the quality team with change requests.
  • Lead efforts to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and optimize designs for manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with the quality team to maintain high product quality.
  • Contribute to design reviews and provide feedback on feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, preferred
  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, preferred
Experience:
  • 3 years in a Manufacturing engineering or related role, preferred
Computer Skills:
  • Extensive Solidworks (Design) and Solidworks PDM (Product Data Management), or similar CAD software, preferred
Certifications:
  • Certified Solidworks Professional (CSWP), within 90 Days, required
Additional Requirements:
  • Experience interpreting and applying GD&T principles to engineering drawings, preferred
  • Experience with structural frame and sheet metals welding processes, inspection, and defining welding callouts, preferred

Other Details
Work Hours:
  • Full-Time: Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
Compensation:
  • This is a salary position paid biweekly.
