Job Description
The IT Support Analyst I's primary responsibility is to provide assistance to personal computer users within ArcBest and its subsidiaries.

Responsibilities
  • Support mobile workforce.
  • Configure, install, monitor, and maintain IT users' desktop software and hardware.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.
  • Provide occasional 24/7 on-call support for end-users.
  • Create and maintain documentation.
  • Assist in testing packaged software and upgrades to speed installations and to create silent, unattended installs.
  • Install and support remote access including wired/wireless router configuration, VPN, RSA SecureID, and Remote Desktop Connection.
  • Install and maintain anti-virus and firewall applications.
  • Assist in maintaining a testing environment for OS patches and upgrades as well as the implementation of new technologies, and assist in system-wide software and OS upgrades and conversions.
  • Assist in the testing and evaluating of new operating systems (OS) and programs for the corporate environment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance through Tier 2.
  • Responsible for documenting solutions to problems.
  • Provide consultation to IT users for all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based software.

Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, preferred
Experience:
  • 1 year industry related experience
Computer Skills:
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, required
Additional Requirements:
  • Comprehensive understanding of PC hardware and software, including Microsoft Windows, required
  • Working knowledge if network technologies and troubleshooting device connectivity, required
  • Broad understanding of smartphones and tablets, required

Other Details
Work Hours:
  • Work hours vary based on scheduling. Market coverage is provided 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Possibility of being on call during non-business hours.
Compensation:
  • This is a salary position paid biweekly.
