Job Description
The HCM Analyst - Payroll and Benefits is responsible for maintenance, design, development, testing, and deployment of people application tools to support absence policies, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This position will support an effort to ideate and improve the employee experience within a wide range of digital people application solutions for Absence, Benefits, Payroll, and Time Tracking.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with internal HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, and other teams on data analysis.
  • Provide assistance, as needed, to end users.
  • Provide guidance to resolve issues with Payroll preparation, processing, post completion, and settlement of Payroll Operations.
  • Review Workday (or other vendor) releases and product roadmaps to identify opportunities to leverage new features and functionality to improve and support business objectives.
  • Actively participate in Workday Community Q&A Forum (or that of other vendors) and User Groups, apply to applicable Design Partner Groups and Early Adopter Programs, submit necessary brainstorms, and promote brainstorms that will benefit the organization.
  • Implement and maintain Absence Time Off Plan and calculations based on Time Tracking, absence compliance guidelines, or Payroll data.
  • Architect solutions including configuration, integrations, testing, and implementation of new features and functionalities, managing cross-functional impact.
  • Provide front line support for various Workday system business process changes, notifications, alerts, validations, and help text for Absence, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, etc.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Support Agile Team planning sessions to plan the roadmap and identify cross-team dependencies.
  • Remain conversant in Company payroll functions, time tracking, and absence policies.
  • Communicate issues and resolutions between the Payroll functional and technical team related to post completion processes.
  • Continuously research Workday capabilities and work with functional SMEs to vet against current business gaps and how the gap may be remediated.
  • Participate in governance processes, roadmapping exercises, and cross functional resource planning.
  • Facilitate the migration of necessary changes from Sandbox to Production.
  • Develop system knowledge transfer and on-the-job training to coordinators or other junior team members (serve as a professional role model).
  • Develop functional solutions that are compatible with downstream data translation.
  • Understand and uphold visibility compliance guidelines for employee data.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.
  • Partner in the evaluation, selection, planning, design, implementation, training, and support for Workday tools (and other vendors, as needed).
  • Provide guidance for data extraction and loads using iLoads and EIBs, data validation, and troubleshoot errors.
  • Support team sustainability by developing documentation for system configurations, processes and error logs and resolutions.

Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Product Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, Human Resources, or other related field, preferred
  • Strong experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience:
  • Experience in a related field, preferred
  • HR, payroll, benefits, absence, time tracking, or other product development experience, required
  • Prior experience configuring HCM or Workday Modules, preferred
Computer Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and Excel, preferred
  • Comfortable with quickly assimilating and utilizing new technology, required

Other Details
Work Hours:
  • Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
Compensation:
  • This is a salary position paid biweekly.
