Job Description
The Enterprise Carrier Partnerships Manager manages carrier partner relationships to help identify, establish, strengthen, and maintain productive working relationships with key executives and decision makers for ArcBest's strategic partner network.

Responsibilities
  • Foster executive relationships with Tier 1 capacity providers across all ArcBest subsidiaries.
  • Act as liaison between the Financial Services freight bill audit team to minimize exceptions and facilitate resolutions between the Accounts Payable team and the carrier, when required.
  • Prepare and present information to all levels of leadership.
  • Collaborate with Pricing and Supply Chain Engineers on RFPs, business awards, and pricing strategy; the project management team on solutions design and carrier onboarding; and the TMS configuration team on implementation of customers and carriers.
  • Understand the variety of data inputs needed for Carriers to analyze and develop pricing programs across all modes of transportation.
  • Source LTL, Intermodal, TL, and Warehousing for Managed Transportation with existing and new partners.
  • Establish objectives, strategies and best practices which support departmental product goals.
  • Oversee the successful onboarding of new carriers, connectivity, portal training, and drive carrier compliance.
  • Drive compliance via carrier authority reviews.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor and industry contracts, and direct vendor payment
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.
  • Influence decisions on assigned projects within ArcBest and ArcBest Tech to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Complete score carding.
  • Communicate with various departments to provide guidance and advice on purchased transportation issues
  • Source providers for intermodal, US, and Canadian substitute service, and domestic offshore movement of ABF shipments beyond traditional asset-based capabilities.
  • Lead the Managed Solutions team by continually improving processes, using LEAN supply chain principles, analyzing data to aid in process design, decision making and root cause analysis.
  • Administer carrier QBR's, service reviews and SOP compliance with network providers.
  • Maintain master agreements with vendors to mitigate risk and improve yield.
  • Develop and grow collaborative relationships with business and sourcing leaders across the organization.
  • Assist in developing centralized data models to help understand the health of a carrier partnership at the enterprise level.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of various transportation modes including parcel, LTL, marketing partners, cartage, warehousing, air, expedite, truckload, intermodal and their role in the supply chain and logistics industry.
  • Administer carrier services API credentials, monitor execution and reporting of carrier compliance.
  • Lead and manage complex integration projects involving software solutions.
  • Maintain exposure to industry issues, and consult and analyze new business opportunities involving external resources

Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain
Experience:
  • 3 years supply chain/logistics industry experience including an understanding of the ArcBest Enterprise go-to market strategy, customer/carrier relations, 3PL model pricing programs, carrier contracts, demand planning, warehouse management, distribution, shipping execution, freight audit and payment, and integration within TMS
Computer Skills:

Other Details
Work Hours:
  • Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
Compensation:
  • This is a salary position paid biweekly.
  • Variable compensation is included.
