Job Description
The EDI Support Specialist oversees customer data integration projects at ArcBest and its subsidiaries. They ensure smooth EDI system functioning, troubleshoot issues, and manage data exchange processes. Collaborating with IT teams, they define business and technical requirements, evaluate solutions, and enhance customer data integration across ArcBest, its subsidiaries, and its customers.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and address discrepancies or failures.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and best practices.
  • Train end-users on EDI processes and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Communicate and manage expectations effectively.
  • Work with customers and other teams to find workable solutions to challenging issues.
  • Evaluate existing data integration processes to identify solutions to drive improvements in customer experience.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Assist with connectivity issues, login problems, and system access.
  • Monitor EDI transactions to verify accuracy and speed.
  • Automate quality assurance processes for EDI transactions.
  • Develop and maintain data integration documentation for training purposes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and supply chain professionals.
  • Manage projects from Initiation to Closure by: defining requirements, coordinating and prioritizing requests with internal and external customers, and providing stakeholder updates on projects.
  • Propose enhancements to optimize EDI workflows.
  • Research, troubleshoot, and resolve data integration (API, EDI, etc.) related issues.
  • Participate in system upgrades and updates.
  • Provide technical expertise on data integration systems and processes.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for EDI-related inquiries from internal users and external trading partners.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related glitches promptly.

Requirements
Education:
  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or other related field, preferred
Experience:
  • 1 year in data integration and/or technical role, preferred
  • 1 year in logistics and/or transportation industry, preferred
  • 1 year in project management, preferred
Computer Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, preferred
  • SQL (DB2), preferred

Other Details
Work Hours:
  • Generally, Monday through Friday, expected 40 hours a week with an 8-hour workday between the hours of 6:00 am - 6:00 pm with possible time worked outside of regular work hours depending on workload requirements.
Compensation:
  • This is a salary position paid biweekly.
