Job Description
The Business Development Representative - Vaux is responsible for generating pipeline by identifying, prospecting, and qualifying new business opportunities. This position serves as the first point of contact for prospective customers, conducting discovery calls, uncovering challenges, and positioning Vaux solutions as a fit. The Business Development Representative - Vaux partners closely with the Sales team to hand off qualified opportunities, enabling Account Managers to focus on closing business. This position requires high energy, persistence, and curiosity to drive growth in the rapidly evolving intralogistics and logistics technology industry.

Responsibilities
  • Drive outbound prospecting through cold calls, emails, social media, events, and networking.
  • Conduct initial discovery calls to assess prospect pain points, operational workflows, and business needs.
  • Qualify opportunities using defined frameworks (e.g., BANT, MEDDIC, or internal standards) and document findings in CRM.
  • Schedule meetings and hand off qualified opportunities to Account Managers, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Support inbound lead follow-up by responding to inquiries and converting them into discovery calls.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Solutions Engineering to refine messaging, campaigns, and target accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and timely pipeline data, call reporting, and CRM documentation.
  • Represent Vaux professionally at industry events, tradeshows, and forums to generate leads.
  • Continuously grow knowledge of Vaux’s product suite and industry trends to effectively engage prospects.
  • Meet or exceed KPIs for calls, meetings set, and qualified opportunities delivered to sales.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field, preferred
  • Equivalent work experience in relevant technical field may also be considered.
Experience:
  • Prior experience in sales development, business development, or inside sales preferred.
  • Prior experience with outbound prospecting, cold calling, or opportunity qualification strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to logistics, supply chain, or industrial technology a plus.
Computer Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Atlassian Suite, Salesforce or similar CRM platforms; familiarity with outreach automation tools a plus.
Additional Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable engaging with executives and frontline operations teams alike.
  • Demonstrated ability to listen, uncover pain points, and create interest through tailored messaging.

Other Details
Work Hours:
  • Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
Travel Requirements:
  • Minimal (0%-25%) To customer visits, industry events, and internal team meetings.
Compensation:
  • This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
