Job Description
The Account Verification Coordinator is responsible for assigning correct AIMS account numbers for all ABF Freight customers for each shipment, verifying correct routing and zip code applications, and for assigning applicable freight bill accessorial codes. The Account Verification Coordinator also applies results from the AV Billcode Maintenance System, handles special account coding, and audits specific accounts for accuracy.

Responsibilities
- Research and verify potential applications for accessorial bill codes and apply accordingly.
- Research and verify customer information, including name, address, city, state, and zip codes.
- Understand and apply the ABF Quality Process.
- Assign or verify the correct AIMS account number to all parties of a shipment.
- Establish and maintain a good rapport with other ABF/ArcBest personnel to promote an effective line of communication.
- Correctly apply all Account Verification rules and customer exceptions listed in the departmental guide.
- Work in a team setting to accomplish group and departmental goals.
- Update and confirm results from the AV Bill Code Maintenance system when time permits.
- Be cognizant of opportunities for automation and report those to the manager.
- Special handling Account coding, as assigned.
- Maintain acceptable productivity and accuracy levels.
- Audit specific accounts for accuracy.
- Maintain a positive attitude and high accuracy level in a fast-paced and time-critical environment.
- Verify freight bill origin and destination routings.
- Other duties and projects, as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
- less than 1 year of experience in ABF Coding processes, preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, preferred
- Knowledge of various department functions, and systems, preferred

Work Hours:
- Generally, 5:00 pm- 2:00 am with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
- Minimal (0-25%)
- This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
